Valentine’s Success, and a New home!

February 15th, 2011

Thanks to everyone who ordered Valentine’s Cookies and cupcakes yesterday! It was fun to drive around slinging arrows cupcakes and cookies like Cupid.

ALSO…HUGE NEWS! If you haven’t already heard…Sugar Tooth moved into a new home this month. In the Community Renaissance Market building (previously Marketplace Austin). It’s at the corner of West Gate and William Cannon, and is in an old Grocery store. It’s a huge market, full of vendors, entrepreneurs and artists, just waiting for you to go check out their stuff.

We have a bakery collective in the very back, where a handful of bakers share space to help grow their budding businesses. I don’t currently have any retail hours (still thinking about how to make that happen), but I am now able to wholesale, have a TON more space, and can accept credit cards. (Thanks to a fun new app called “square”, where I can use my iphone to swipe your card for payment!)

If you haven’t checked out Objects of Confection (for amazing cake balls made by cake ball goddess Jessica Carter Forkner), or Mamawise (Owned by the lovely wise Mama, Jenny, where you can get reusable diapers, take a natural birthing class, and more!) then you really need to get down to the market and visit!

Can’t wait to see you all there!

Cheers, and I hope you felt the love (in whatever shape that takes) yesterday!

Sugar Tooth is READY for spring!

2011, already?

January 3rd, 2011

First, thanks to all who participated in our Holiday Gift Giveaways. It was super fun, and we will definitely be doing more giveaways in the coming year. Speaking of the coming year…

It is, indeed, a new year. An EXCITING new year, if I may.
Here at Sugar Tooth we have big things going on, which I will start posting about soon.

Sugar Tooth will be moving into a new kitchen soon, which will open up many new possibilities. Details will be revealed in the coming weeks, as plans solidify.

I hope you all had a great holiday, finding at least a little time to relax and breathe deeply. I have good feelings about this year. Not just for me, for all of us. A little optimism goes a long way!

Now, back to the grind…
cheers!
Meghan

Tis the Season…

November 25th, 2010

Things at Sugar Tooth Headquarters have been BUSY! This is good news, of course.

Let’s see…Currently, I’m looking for an itsy bitsy little retail space to build my own tiny baking kitchen and have at least a bit of a store front. Of course, this will still take some time, money being an overarching obstacle and all. However, it’s definitely time to figure out the next step, which is very exciting!

Today is Thanksgiving, which is also exciting. I really need to be better about posting on the website. The thanksgiving special was a Vegan Pumpkin Cheesecake, which is amazingly delicious. I’m very thankful for all the orders for it, as well as continued orders in general. Sugar Tooth is very lucky to be blessed with such nice people ordering, which I am truly thankful for today!

As we move into the Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa/Solstice time, I’m going to decide what our Winter Holiday special will be. This will be something new and exciting, and will be delivered a few days before Christmas probably. I will post on facebook, as well as on the website, with plenty of time so everyone can order.

On New Years Eve, Sugar Tooth is sponsoring an event at Cheer up Charlies, a rad little place in East Austin. It is the record release of a band called The Sour Notes, as well as the owner’s birthday. They have ton’s of great sponsors, so there will definitely be free food and spirits (i think) if you get there early.

However, I will be tending bar at The Side Bar, on New Year’s Eve, of course.

Anyway, That’s about it. Don’t forget to become a fan of Sugar Tooth Facebook page, as it is probably the most up-to-date info of what’s going on in our world.

Your continued support and encouragement is ever so appreciated. I hope you are all having a wonderful start to your holiday season!

Cheers,

Meghan Krasnoff
